Now this is the wild horse of Wild Horse Ranch! She was brought to our attention from a friends late night phone call. We will never forget the response when we told her our ranch was not ready yet. We hadn't gotten the electricity, water was by a hand pump and the fences weren't complete! "When are you ever ready for an emergency!"...we got ready real quick!  

Luna's story is horrific, sad and beautiful. This amazing mustang has endured so much from humans and yet forgives! She once roamed the lands before being round up by the bureau of land management. Luna is overcoming her past in the solace of Wild Horse Ranch.  

She is learning that we can be trusted and that human contact can be fun, especially when we bring out the treats! Our focus continues to be on desensitization, and in showing her how to look to her "person" for support and comfort. Once she feels comfortable with what is asked of her and trusts her human Crystal, Lunas sweet and trusting nature really shines through. Luna is one of a kind!
