Founded in 2023, Wild Horse Ranch Sanctuary, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing horses from slaughter, abandonment, neglect, and abuse. Driven by the passion and determination of its founder, Laura Hewett, the organization has been providing a safe, nurturing environment for horses to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally.

The journey to establish Wild Horse Ranch Sanctuary began in 2019, when Laura Hewett recognized a calling to give back to these amazing animals. Raised alongside horses and immersed in the world of 3-day eventing, Laura always felt a strong connection to these animals and had since nurtured a dream of opening a horse rescue. Laura Hewett's experience and love for horses led her to embark on a mission of giving back to these remarkable animals. It all began in 2019 when Laura began her journey to building the sanctuary. After years of hard work, dedication, and overcoming numerous obstacles, Wild Horse Ranch Sanctuary finally gained its non-profit status in 2023.

Wild Horse Ranch Sanctuary's mission is to provide a sanctuary for horses where they can find a safe space to recover from their traumas. Laura's vision is to create a better world for horses everywhere, and she believes that every day presents an opportunity to make a difference.

As a horse rescue organization, the primary focus is on rescuing horses from unfortunate circumstances and offering them a second chance at life. The compassionate team members at Wild Horse Ranch Sanctuary have dedicated their lives to caring for these innocent animals, embodying the company's values of passion, courage, and unwavering commitment to a brighter future for horses.

Since its official establishment, Wild Horse Ranch Sanctuary has made a remarkable impact on the lives of horses, rescuing 16 of them from various distressing situations. Under the guidance of Laura, the organization has grown steadily with the support of a board of directors that shares her vision and values.

For the organization, every horse they manage to rescue is a testament to their hard work and dedication. They take pride in providing the much-needed care, love, and support required for these animals to recover from their harrowing experiences.

The Wild Horse Ranch Sanctuary team is continuously working to spread awareness about their mission, educate the public about responsible horse ownership, and build a network of supporters that share their commitment to improving the lives of horses everywhere.

Although Wild Horse Ranch Sanctuary has only been formally recognized as a non-profit since 2023, they've already made significant strides towards their mission of rescuing vulnerable horses and giving them a second chance at life. By serving 16 horses—and counting—with the unmatched care and dedication of their team, they're proud to showcase the tangible results of their efforts.
